Race Shock PSI...

Makes sense. Back to the drawing board. Maybe I will pop in to the local motorcycle shop during lunch tomorrow. I am sure they will be able to set me up with some most excellent shocks to suit my needs.

Bad idea. They will cancel each other out. So instead of getting an awesome bouncy lift you will get nothing.

Make sure you set the angles on each side opposite of the other. Otherwise it causes lean. Kind of like a boob job where both nipples point left.

Don't laugh. I had a couple of extra's with plans to make a buggy with them. 15 years before the razor. I backed out when I found out how much a cheap tube bender was back then. :jester:

Ended up buying an XJ. :looser:

Let me try to make this clear:

The shocks I am familiar with (motorcycle) are far superior to what you see on most 4x4
(except Grimmies redneck rig I will give you that k?)

Ask nicely and maybe I'll let you see the Bilstein's on our desert racer.

On my jeep with the shocks I’m using you cannot move the suspension very much at all maybe half an inch with two big guys pushing down on the bumper, I just thought that was kind of stiff, that’s all, seemed like eventually it should have compressed even if the valving was super stiff.

Again - spring rate, not shock pressure.

The 2.0 is the measurement of the diameter of the shock body.

Really? That is what it means? We would have never known without your great expertise. Your "expertise" should also tell you that you can't compensate for incorrect valving with pressure changes and bypasses.

Post up some pics - I really want to see them. Especially since someone posted up a pic of some OE replacement 2.0 smoothies and your response was that they were just like yours.

Again, you never answered as to which end your resi's are hanging from.

BTW, here is what I get to play with - This was in the initial development stage when they were adding the Blackhawk style adjusters to the bybasses.

I'm running very stiff Bilsteins up front and much softer valved Bilsteins out back. Both ends are about the same compression wise. Why? Because my shocks aren't supporting the weight of the Jeep in any way. My springs are stiff and as such, the Jeep is stiff.

ooo it's Bilstein show and tell time :D Mine are 14" stroke 2.65" Diameter 9100 series coilovers.

I don't mind you calling my rig redneck, I built it myself with the help of my friends and I'm extremely happy with it. Drop the superiority complex and you might actually learn something around here

Thanks for the entertainment. All we need is Hinkley to post up.

They flex like a weeble-wobble, too.
