Lame question, but just got the XJ and haven't had time to crawl under but . . . 1987 Pioneer 4.0 with the 5 speed man. tranny. Which T-case would this be? Thanks

NP231, aka Command-Trac. Would include a disconnect HP D30, probably 3.07 gearing. Could be D35 or D44 rear, same gearing, with or without Track-Lok LSD.

I believe so... the 23 spline units didn't show up 'til mid '89 when the AX-15 replaced the BA10/5, IIRC.
