Question on Track Bar rules.

Ok, here is my situation. I have the RE XJ Super-Flex 4.5 w/leaf springs kit. I have been searching on TBs and not sure if I understand it. Do I need the RE TB drop bracket, if so why? Also, do I need the TB brace they sell as well? The TB I got with the kit is the RE1600.

RE1600 uses a bolt that goes straight up into the factory mount. The one you're confusing it with is the RE1660 bar and RE1665 bracket. If you've got the RE1600 you don't need a bracket or brace as there's no provision for them. I'd recommend the 1660 and 1665 along with the brace though. Much better setup than the 1600.

x2 on what ECKSJAY said - you bought the basic RE 4.5" it seems; if it hasn't been installed you might want to explore returning it for credit toward the RE 1660/1665/1670 Trackbar, Brace, and Bracket assembly. It allows for more axle movement, and the brace across the framerails helps keep things together.
