question about suspension seats

I'm strongly considering a seat upgrade for my '96, as my legs cramp up and lower back gets sore on long drives.

It looks like my two options will be corbeau reclining (non-suspension) or PRP daily driver.

I haven't riced out my jeep, but I'm not a wheeler, and what I would like out of the seats is comfortable yet firm support that pads my butt but lets me feel the road (but not in a bad way) a la BMW.

I *don't* want a la-z-boy plush cushy ride a la Buick (or WJ, for that matter)

Based on that, should I even bother looking at the PRP, or just go try out the corbeaus?

I don't have any specific experience with either the PRP or Corbeau seats you're referring to - but I do have a Mastercraft Rubicon seat in my XJ (I've put probably 20k on it with the seat in there, long distance and around town) and it is extremely supportive (I'm probably 5'11 and, at the time I was driving the jeep daily was about 280) and should provide the support I you were looking for (it held me in and I wasn't the slightest bit uncomfortable).

In addition to Mastercraft, both PRP and Beard make seats similar to the Rubicon which I believe are less expensive (the PRP seats are cheaper, I know that for a fact).

Also, a lot of smaller local type 4x4 stores are starting to carry one of the major brands of seats (I'm pretty sure 4 Wheel Parts sells Mastercraft) so someone might have a Rubicon-style seat for you to sit in.
