proper way to adjust a track bar

un-bolt the adjustable end
screw/unscrew as necessary and bolt it back together.
you may need to coerce the axle (side to side) to get the bolt lined back up, but thats it.

ok, well lets get this sorted out

this will be much easier if you have atleast the front end of the frame on jack stands and the front tires off (less weight)

unbolt the upper mount, so you can disconnect and screw/unscrew the actualy trac bar.
to shift the axle towards the driver side, screw the trac bar to shorten it, pulling the axle to the drivers side
do the opposite to push it towards the passenger side.

once you have adjusted the trac bar the required amount, you'll then have to force the axle to that side so you can bolt the upper mount back to the frame.

this really isn't a difficult procedure, if you don't feel comfortable doing it, maybe grab a friend, or local member who can give you a hand and you can learn for next time.

i used a ratchet tie down to move the axle until it was centered and then adjusted the track bar until it fit. finding places to measure to/from to see if the axle was centered was kinda hard. i thin i went form the sway bar mount to the frame rail? i can't remember, just make sure the points you use are almost identical in position.

I heard with the track bar undone and the jeep on the ground you can rock it back and forth and let it settle which should be right where it needs to be I would think but I have just heard this not actually done it so I don't know if there is any proof to this.
