Project "WTFWIT"

Of all that toob and strengthening. That thing's gotta be as stiff as a wedding wanger.

I am going to run it doorless and possibly hatchless at Hannibal I am thinking. Nothing like wheeling in mid August heat in Missouri with no A/C...I guess I could just fix the A/C huh? :D I scored a new set of Kicker wakeboard tower speaker pods that I am going to mount to the cage...should be plenty loud. I also still have the 10" Kicker marine sub box that will be mounted in the back (actually have 2 of them, might put both in)

if your referring to the lateral bars from the frame to the sliders..yeah, I agree. They are easy enough to do and I will probably do that this evening. I even have a pile of gussets that I could use...OK, you talked me into it :D I might even weld on some caps to the end of the lateral bracing bars too....

Sean, I think you will like the final touch to the cage I am going to install...it is in your honor (damn, Sean and honor in the same sentence...that must be a fluke!)

One thing that both the hunks of crap had in common...beautiful welds!! But my theroy is they dont have to be pretty, they just have to hold..and they do! It will be ready for level one of Sean testing at the Hannibal Rocks Run.

OK, so since Rev spoke, I listened. I put in some small gussets to the frame from the lateral bars this evening. Did not bother to clean anything up for the pics, frankly b/c I dont care at this point.

Also worked on the steering for a few minutes and when removing the old power steering lines one kinked and then busted the plastic nipple off the back of the pump..I was freakin' pissed! So, I got the old box out and made room for this new piece of sexyness (AGR steering box)

also ran down what I believe to be my reverse light problem, and put the new Grant GT steering wheel in...was going to hold out for a tiny chain steering wheel like in a lowrider, but they are not so readily available in my parts :D

just called the local welding shop and said "I need a new welder" and he said he would stop by this evening...this may get real expensive.....

Tyler, I may try to talk you ionto building some of those taillight housings for me...
And whats wrong with driving with doors and hatches on and with no a/c? All the cool kids are doing it :p
Least thats what I tell myself when I think about MO and the fact that I have no a/c and the doors and everything need to stay on... :S

you station wagons and your AC.

Jeep didn't see fit to install AC in my junk, or the e-fan that came with it.

bunch of sissy soccer moms.

I got A/C, just cant start the truck up with it on or take off from a stop or the belt squeals like a dieing cat under the hood

i do it at like 3am sometimes if the neighbors piss me off

my AC has not worked since i bought it...but should if I just recharged it I suppose.....I need to get the thing working so I can haul more groceries in there and keep it all cool.

Mine did this when I first bought it... Turned out to be a bad bearing in the alternator and after replacing that, it went away...

I tried that on the XJ, turns out theres a reason all the R-12 leaked out, it's probably got a leak in the evaporator.

Pshhh.

A/C is overrated.

Rev

The Man has spoken. AC is overrated.

Could also be the clutch unit on the front of the compressor.

I put the rear carpet in the rig last night and cut it to fit around the cage....not too bad for a fat guy.....and I also braided some of the wires I was running to the new switch panel. May actually get home from work tomorrow at a decent hour and get the interior finished up...
