Project Telluride: tons, big rubber, and a clean slate.

What coil bucket/brackets did you use?

Do you think you could have extended the track bar over to the passenger side C without seriously interfering with the coil spring or steering?

Ballistic.
And no. I tried. Realistically I have as much tilt forward in the axle side bracket I can get before hitting drag link. If mounted on passenger side the link would not clear the coil.

Boo. I was hoping I could move the track bar bracket forward a couple inches and get away with it. I'm using Barnes coil buckets that set the coil just behind the center line of the axle tube. I thought that might be enough to get the track bar over to the inner C.

These trackbars just always end up so short... lol

Yeah. I had considered it but I ran into a couple issues.
1 bucket moved back (currently centered) would push too far forward and create a steering interference anyway. Or if have to keep axle where it is and put a curve in the coils.
2 move axle back to create clearance in steering. But that also put a curve on the coils. And put tires to close to rear of wheel well and would create issues there.
3 move frame side mount outward. But that creates more leverage. Even supported it would be a weak link I don't want. Plus only gain an inch or two in length.

I know it's not ideal lot being same length as the drag link. But I'll have to see how it plays out. Going to high steer (which I have to do unless I keep factory) really eats up the ability to run anywhere but it's current location. Things will change after the first season. But we will see what is first on the list.

Haha. Yeah trying to keep it looking Cherokee. For the time being anyway.
Plus these sd60's have a short knuckle so steering is pretty tight.

Yeah. Looks like it.

For now, I'll be using a heim steering setup that I'm getting from a friend. OTK with a double shear bracket. I'm sure that's going to make things hard to squeeze by.

Yeah I wish there was more arm on the steering mount on the knuckle. Life would be 1000x easier with that extra room. Oh well.

Well, been spending the evening shopping coilover options......

May cut into my highsteer budget so may go a different route on steering until I get better cash flow.

Yeah. I've done that the whole build so far. She's about over it. This was supposed to be a weekend build for camping and exploring :roflmao:

Yeah. Have to re do upper link and panhard mount on the axle side. Rebuild the panhard. And then do mounts frame and axle side for coil overs. Imma text you real quick.

Famous last words....
This Jeep was supposed to be my mild camping rig, too. My wife kept the patience through the 3/4ton swap and 3 link. (No kids yet at that point) But, I was in the doghouse for quite some time when she came out one day and found me making the last inch of the cut for the chop top!

Then the 35s, then the cage and dovetail, then the doors came off, then the gutted interior and new dash, then the tube sides, then the 38s, then trashed the 44 and built the 60 front....

I really don't know why, but it seems like she's less forgiving of the Jeep than she used to be!:dunno:
