I personally think this engine swap will be a night & day swap, you'll love having better fuel mileage with more sack under the hood. The only downside is being able to brake more shit.

what is the the back spacing on the wheels your running along with the wms to wms on the 14 bolt

depends on what pictures you look at.

i always had it with stock chevy 3/4 ton/1 ton steelies converted to beadlocks (i honestly dont know the backspacing or width) but they are probably about 8" wide with around 5" of bs if i were to guess.

but earlier pics are with the cab and chassis hubs and 2" wheel spacers on each side totalling 67.5" and the later pics are the srw hubs with 2" wheel spacers totalling 71" wms-wms.

yeah it was the later pictures i was looking at, i have a j10 also and was kinda afraid my wheels and tires are going to stick out to far since im running 3.5 backspacing

With the c&c hubs the tires wouldnt even fit in the wheel openings. I had to add the spacers just to drive it, they they still rubbed the inner fenders when flexing just a little bit. I had to run about 3" extra bumpstop just for that. Next wheels will be 17x9 or 10s with around 3.5" of backspacing.

I'm over there too. Might as well not bother.

4.8/6.0 manual trans flywheel (a bitch to find, yet oddly cheap) along with arp bolts and an LS2 pilot bearing are all in the mail.

My existing clutch kit with like 200 miles on it will bolt right up to this flywheel as long as I enlarge the pressure plate holes from 3/8" to 10mm. Only issue is the friction material on my clutch goes slightly more towards the center and as the clutch wears it will grab the inside surface of the flywheel. I have heard it isnt an issue, and have also heard that during hard shifts it will drag. I might just run with it til I notice an issue.

kinda gave up on this thread because my pictures don't work because naxja doesn't let you edit posts after like an hour and facebook likes to change the urls of images, but heres some stuff

TA-DA!

Gets close in a couple spots, but the motor won't be moving around too much with the mounts I built.
valve cover to firewall

coil to brake booster

i had to take the exhaust manifolds off to drop it in, but there appears to be plenty of room where they will be sitting.
ran a couple quick beads on the motor mounts and she is sitting in her new home. Didn't go exactly as planned, but it will work. Had to weld the tabs underneath the frame platforms instead of on top like planned, but big whoop.

You know how to fix that issue, right? Stop linking from Faceblock.

I did. idiot. i have a build thread elsewhere with all the pics hosted on photo bucket. Facebook was just convenient at the time with my old dumb phone. it was the easiest place to upload to.
