So tires barely clear the front fenders at full bump, but they clear.

Measured for bumpstops at full bump and decided I needed 6" (metal of tower to bottom of coil bucket).

I figured lengthening the tower by 3" and getting a puck of UHMW or something for the bucket would work instead of just building up one side.

I was going to cut the tower and sleeve it with 1.75 x .120" DOM but Adam had a better idea.

Ended up with these made out of leftover front driveshaft tubing 2 x .120" tubing and some scrap metal I had leftover from holesawing.

Works mint and gained me 3" of tower length.

Tomorrow I'm going to finish welding up the rear axle, and Adam and I came up with a plan for the rear bumpstops so I'll try to knock that out as well as some shock mounts all around.

I'm hoping by the end of the weekend it will back down on it's own weight for good.

Burned in the UBEs, whipped up and burned in some shock mounts, as well as cleaned up and painted the rear axle.

Also going to use these for rear bumpstop extensions. Just a piece of 2x2x.250 bolted to the leaf spring perch and drilled/tapped for some UHMW. Will extend the top piece as well.

And welded the shackle hangers in too. Going to do some more work on cleaning up/painting/gusseting some items and hopefully have the rear end on the ground again.

Way to be a dick and not have your truck facing out like your dad's truck&van, the ramcharger, the boat, and your bro's XJ. (Your mom's car doesn't count because she isn't at the top in front of the garage.

That's Melanie's car now. Mark is dumb.

Rear axle is now in for good.

Made some small gussets to tie the shackle hanger back to the bumper. Also flipped it from a boomerang to a dog-leg so the sleeve doesn't hit the hanger.

Also running these sweet progressive Kia bumpstops Carmelo swiped for me. I'll have to install them after the coil though as it won't fit over it. Stock bumps on the left.

2 more weeks and I'm done with my masters, but I don't think I'll be able to work on it until then. I have a final to do next weekend and it'll take both this week and next to finish up my capstone project.
