Im fighting with myself on a decision maybe you guys can.help out with.
I am not sure if I should just get shocks to run through the factory placement on inner fender. Or if I should build a hoop that ties into the exo/framerail.
Eventually I want coilovers up front and not sure if I.should wait to build hoop when i get those.....
thoughts??

x3, the coilovers likely wont go where the shocks are. mine went where the springs were.

Cool, Thanks guys. That was kind Of the input I was looking for. I knew the coilovers would be in a different spot which is why I was thinkin of just waiting. Just didnt know if stock location would still hold up fine.

14" yessir.

Rough ride height and stance....
110" WB will be how she measures for now. Rear might end up going back another inch or two. Will have to see how tires clear at stuff. Front will have hardly any uptravel. Mostly due to the fact I forsee clearance issues with driveshaft on inner frame rail..... any of you folks run into that issue with running a 60?

Shot to show width on rear. Give or take about an inch....

Front driveshaft on inner frame rail...? How?

What year 60 is that?

I have an '89 in mine and the front driveshaft got close to the driver's side floor but was way far away from the frame.

I think it'll hit floor beforeframe rail. but looks like it'll be close. gotta get a ds in there and see how it looks.

Worst case you can always splice up an OBD1 harness if you really decide you hate RENIX. It's only about 16-18 wires to make the engine, fusebox, and whatnot run and another dozen or so for horns, wipers, front lighting etc.

RENIX is no reason to turn down a good jeep.

The hell?

Sorry, that went to completely the wrong thread. I don't even remember what thread it was supposed to go to. I r good with computers :dunce:

Ok so got some work done recently. Rear is now sitting on its own weight which has me stoked. Once I can get the coil buckets welded in place I can have front on its own weight as well. So I am getting suuuper anxious. (then itll sit til I get more parts n suched afforded and installed.

But how she sits now. Im right at 109" wb. 23" belly height, 27" rocker height, front and rear overall widths are 80" and 79" respectively.

found out that despite my concerns my front driveshaft will clear just fine. so thats a huge relief

Here is my clearance on things, this is Just about ride height. Should be +/- 1"

And here is a shot of the front brackets with everything bolted/mocked up.

Im feeling pretty happy with it and hope to get a little more finished tomorrow.

Well I don't have much in the way of pics but here is what i got done today.

Sleeved and extended track bar to maintain as much thread contact as possible on the joint. also finally got the coil buckets welded onto the axle. which means the entire rig is on its own weight (woooooooooo).
I pushed the rear back about 1.5" and am considering going another inch or so back. Also pretty sure imma ditch the antirock and run no sway bar.

only relevant pic. Looks same but jeep is on its own weight. small stands are under the axle to catch weight when air pressure leaks down.
