Blew the damn seal on the steering box again. And then effed up the motor on the way home. Had to get towed back.. Once its running imma toss it at the hard stuff.... no hesitation - straight climbs

Well, jeep is still sitting at my friends down in the springs. Unsure of the problem I have been tossing around ideas.

At the absolute very least, it needs a head. But with having turned 194k I am debating the worth of doing anything with that damn motor. Wondering if a bad head was my issues with cooling and running right the entire time. I dunno.
So I am looking into just getting an entire motor to swap. But if I do that, Im debating if I should just go ahead and swap the trans out too, since the aw4 has nearly 200k on it as well.
If I go that route, it would be a GREAT time to just go ahead and ditch that damned 242 boat anchor I have laying underneath.

All of this taking more time and money. Great.

The other option I am constantly reminded of by my girlfriend (which shows just how ugly she thinks this thing is, because she hates when i sell, trade shit) Is to find an MJ like I want and go that route. Im not sure how well the longer WB of the MJ would work on just 37's Unless I did links in the rear and ditched the bed. Who knows.

I've only wheeled it a handful of times, but I wouldn't trade it back for an XJ.

Stock shortbed MJ with about a 2" stretch up front.

So somewhere around 115" I think.

Damn. with 40's thats a good WB too....id like to stick to the 110/112 eange with the 37's if possible. But thats where im looking to go with this

jeep still has a fighting chance, even if it is on a waiting list.....

should be pickin up and ol K2500 to haul this pile around with a DD for a while. Not pretty or new, but serves its purpose. Kinda like the jeep. So its fitting lol

picked up something to tote the jeep around and get me back and forth to work

'90 gmc k2500 with the 5.7L Needs some new cv's up front and some fluids changed. Otherwise gonna let it sit how it is and get to work on getting money together for a continued jeep make over this winter

Mike. Weird question. Can you measure the wheel base on your truck for me?
I need as close to 144" as possible for my rv conversion.
The wheel base on my extended cab long bed is about 155" or so.
I'm just trying to figure out if a single cab long bed wheel base would be close enough.
