Project: Blacksheep- 90 wagoneer, low wide, ugly

I dont DD this anymore. but yes ive drivin it at night. its not as bad as you would think. then again, im not haulin ass down roads where i am dependant on my headlights. the light output is perfect for night wheeling, cuz then i can just turn them down and have lights right in font of the tires......

Well im in the middle of getting this 3 link pieced together. I already have the brackets machined, drilled and prepped. Going to run Aluminum arms i think, with 7/8" heims on the upper.
Where im tossing around ideas is with the lower joints. I could easily do the Johnny Joints or Ballistic Joints but am considering the idea of running large (1.25") heims. I know the ride on the street would be kinda shitty, but the jeep is lucky to see 100 miles a week if im not wheeling it. So it is something I am willing to deal with. just trying to find whats going to be the strongest and offer the most articulation.

just a question, but why do you feel 1.25" heims will "be kinda shitty" on the road? and in comparison to what?
I can understand rubber bushing offering a little softer ride, but if the suspension is set up properly, the springs/shocks should provide the "ride" as opposed to the joints.

I meant you can lift a stock suspension XJ 5" and the shorts arms are gonna ride like crap because of the angles, then goto long arms, and the ride is plush again... regardless of the joints.

just food for thought.

mostly just the vibration from the road is what i was refering to. with the solid joints on all 6 ends didnt know it if would be unbareably since i drive this to and from the trail, which can be a few hours in a day. but as i said i dont drive it on the road much. im only on 3.5" soon to be just under 5" of lift with midarms so itll ride plenty fine.

well I'm ccurently build my suspension around heims,
I figure with larger tires, offroad tires at that, I can deal with a bit of vibration noise.
if everything is ballanced (tires/wheels) I'd think vibration will be minimal,

but to each their own, I can't give experience feedback as I am still building, only speculation.

just some random shit....
