getting new ball joints, the alloys put in, a new door, and then bumpstopping some more to get it ready for moab
winch should be in soon, as should my new headlight harness
i got the smittybilt xrc8 w/ synthetic line for christmas, its a pretty decent unit. it had a faulty remote when i got it but amazon took care of it very quickly and had great customer service. i've only used it for a couple pulls out of some snow so nothing too crazy yet. you can't beat the price though
thats why I bought it. couldnt beat the price. I haven't used it because I literally put it on I think last weds. I am going down to the Badlands for Winterfest in like two minutes. If I use it, ill let you know!
first- got the passenger door replaced....wish the whole jeep was that pretty
then i got some progress made on the front bumper.
welds are looking better as i go. need to clean more surface are i guess:
and how the winch sits on there:
trust me, the winch cannot get any further back. maybe 1/4"-if that. i had to do some massaging as it is to get it in there. only other option would be some serious remodeling of the front end. i dont have the time for that with moab only 14 days away
Meh, The XRC8 is a decent winch. They require lots of upkeep or it won't last long. Keep it very clean! I've replaced mine twice since I got it 4 years ago.
NICE!
brown santa just dropped off my new ball joints!
and Fed-ex should have my synthetic line tomorrow too!
hell ya. then ill be DONE and ready to go to moab...
