Im tryin to pull my transfer case away from my transmission (231/AW4) and I can see or feel all 6 nuts but I cant figure out how to get the one on the bottom. I removed cross member but the tranny mount is still there what all do I have to take off to get to all 6 nuts?

Pull the transfer case mount! That will free up the exhaust(may need to loosen the collector also).Ive also had to remove the transfer case linkage to get at the 1 drivers side bolt.

well i took off the mount...wish i would have done that earlier...now the exhaust, what is the collector your talking about because obviously the exhaust is still in the way...is it just the hook its hanging from towards the back?

unbolt the exhaust from the manifold, up near the drivers side of the oil pan. The bolts are probably rusted, so be ready to replace them.
Once that's unbolted th exhaust will pratically fall out, so do't be under it.

I didnt remove tranny mount or exhaust. seemed like to much work.

the drivetrain hung down enough after i undid the xmember to reach up for the top bolts.

I went and grabbed a shorty 9/16" ratchet type wrench from store which was like $14. And had plenty of room to work with on all 6 bolts.
Pb blaster helped and I used a strong screwdriver to push up the wrench with both hands for more leverage to get them loosened.

piece of cake now.
