I would question your "monetary drain" comment. I do not have access to financial records, but I have been present during certain conversations among the parties involved and I know for a fact that MWXJ is far from a "monetary drain." How do you draw the conclusion that MWXJ is a "monetary drain"?
MWXJ is a place for MWC members to go and let their hair down so to speak. Kinda like the Den, but more tame.It provides a place for chapter discussions to take place without outside interference(members area). I honesty don't see what the big deal is concerning MWXJ. It doesn't hurt a thing in my opinion. If you don't like it, don't go there. No one is forcing anyone to participate on MWXJ, all MWC members are welcome.
Well, I can't comment on the monetary drain. I am not aware of Midwest Chapter money that is going in to running the site. If there is money going over there to support the site, then that is up for discussion.
I am over there from time to time, but not for much comment, just reading the threads. I don't use it enough at this point to make it beneficial to me, but there are others using it, so it could be beneficial to some and not others.
Geez...this reply makes me sound like a politician...
It used to be nice because it was a tight nit group of guys that were the MWC core that had met everyone, wheeled together, wrenched together, etc. Now we let anyone in that lives in the chapter regardless of face time.
I understand that our BOD forum is over there so doing away with it may not be the best thing.
Activity over there is extremely slow on the public forums.
well.....i can comment on the 'monetary drain' aspect of MWXJ, since I am the one who keeps it running (even though I am not running for any BOD positions).
the only thing MWXJ costs is my time.....which honestly, isn't even that much time.
