pre 91 XJ performance parts Q.

I'd like to run a header, but seems like pacesetter is the only one who makes a header for the 89 XJ.

I think there's another, but I don't remember what it is. Nonetheless, I was happy with the Pacesetter, and it was cheap. I had to bend the EGR tube to get it to fit but otherwise it fit fine(I got it maybe 6 years ago). It smoothed out the powerband quite a bit, gradually increasing power with engine speed as compared to before when it seemed to "take off" halfway through the RPMs. Only thing I didn't like was that it was painted black, which burned off the first time I started it, and the supplied clamps and gasket were crap. I'm still using it, on another engine, and I welded the downpipe onto it which I prolly should have done the first time instead of buying better clamps. It's seen at least 40,000 miles

I've got the Borla header for a Renix. Sounds great, and seems to add some midrange.

Am I right in understanding that Borla has quit making it?

Reason I ask, is I Am moving the stroker to my late model and I was going to move the header later after the motor has proven to run well in that jeep (I'm methodical) and it might be better to buy a new header and sell the Renix header to someone who needs it.
