I'm new to the board and love all this info. Whoever reads this, please post your links for MJ tech, build up, etc. Also, does anyone here know how to come up with production numbers from year to year (yes, I have searched google, yahoo and here)?

I have a book at home that has the production numbers. I'll try to remember to write it down and bring it to work tomorrow for posting. I own MJ #100,000, a '87 longbed 4.0 4wd 5-spd.

Go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/jeepcomanche/
and near the bottom of the page listed as "For more information" there's a member's personal website and the production numbers should be in "history".
Lots of links in the "links" folder of the MJ Yahoo Group site too. :D
Jeep on!

Thanks fellas for the info. I'm trying to make a reliable daily driver out of mine. Brettm, you have a hell of a ride!!!!!
thanks!

if you want to keep it a good DD, I would recommend doing
-a SOA rear,
-5.5" RE lift up front with drop brackets,
-regear to 4.88,
-lock at least the rear,
-get the appropriate skids and bumpers
-and your 33s of choice.
