i have been looking at an old 1950's dodge power wagon that served its time as an Army ambulance. it looks like there is minimal rust (for its age) and am considering making an offer on it. there is no "for sale" sign on it and i would like to know what the going rate for one would be. i don't want to be ripped off or make a deal and have the current owner be bitter afterward. what would you pay for something like this in good, poor, dead conditions etc.
thanks for the help guys.

bigger question.
should it be restored to stock like condition, or full on trail rig? 49"?

There is a big powerwagon group that does them, awsome trucks even with a flattie. HEAVY too, heck the bodies are made out of close to the gauge steel that most here use for bumpers...Most of them ended up going to the US Forest service, I had an old friend of mine that bought two of them for $500 and made one good one....http://www.powerwagonadvertiser.com/
