possible high steer! would like some thoughts first!

I've never heard of that, looks interesting.

Just for choices, what about.... (~$350)

Or.... (~650)

(I have this, works great - not high steer but is beef)

Those aren't hi steer though, the first is just over the knuckle, and the second is cross over.

As far as that Rocky-Road kit is concerned, I really can't comment on it as it's the first time I've seen it. It looks good and believe me, true hi steer is nice. The only thing I don't like is that funky tie rod with the square blocks welded on it to mount the TREs. I've seen a similar tie rod(made by another manufacturer) fail.
$550 seems like a good deal for what you get, I really can't believe they designed such a contraption to be bolt on. I've always prefered the molten glue gun method.
Yes, I know, this post was worthless...

ya that box section did look a little odd to me. maybe i could just custom beef that part myself ha ha.

those other steering option look pretty nice to! i trust those more anyway cuz people have actually used them lol.

I'm not a huge fan of the JCR one ton steering cuz of the dead spot....
and the ORO is nice but 100 more for less clearance...

oh and most likely if you were to get this kit you could have all the bolt on stuff welded on.

also I think it might be good if a moderator moved this to modified tech so more people could share their opinions

While I do have a small dead spot, its not as bad as people make it out to be.

I destroyed one of the poly spacers before driving down to JV for Goatfest, and lets just say it was an interesting drive. I didnt have to worry about falling asleep, especially when passing semis:scared:

Before heading home I put in a spare spacer, and it was just as good as when I put it on. Small almost unnoticeable dead spot, but what do you really expect with steering on lifted Jeeps? Handed about like how it handled with the stock steering.

I liked it enough to order it for my 44, and to keep my old stuff for my dads Jeep.

yea but if this high steer was worth it, I think I'd pay 100 more to get it that much more out of the way...

though that is good to hear that it doesn't have as bad a dead spot as people say.
are you running the OTK or not?

The whole issue with inverted T steering is the steeper your drag link angle the bigger the "dead spot" feels. That's why you really need hi steer when using an inverter T.
Here's mine(how it looked five years ago)...

I drove that setup for over 40,000 miles as my daily driver. Drove it to Arizona, Colorado, Utah twice, and it was great.

I am running it OTK at about 6.5'' of lift, and I have somehow not managed to run it into any rocks.

And here is how it will look on the 44. Not as pretty as Jes', but still pretty high up there.

Think the duct tape and pvc will hold up?
