Poser pic with my redneck roof rack

This rack is the result of being a cheap bastard($3-$400 for some bent steel?), having most of the supplies on hand, and rushing to prep the new rig to take to Mexico. Unfortunately found the springs were to saggy to load it up AND put people in it so we had to take the minivan. Since I've added 2" extended shackles and she rumbs only with a full load and a major bump. I still plan on replacing the springs when I get my 3" springs for the front. Then I'm going to buy a welder and see what can put together for the roof.

Yeah. Had a 4x8 piece of 3/4 ply laying around. Grabbed some 1x4s, some u-bolts to tie it to the stock cross beams and some eye bolts to tie down the tire and make some bungie tie downs. It's solid as hell. Oh, drilled some holes for drainage too.

Here's the transition from purchase to today. Monday I installen lift coils in front.

Just Purchased:

Bigger tires and new rims:

Built me a red neck roof rack(mother-in-law loves her new seat!)

Added 2" lift shackles til I build a BP:

Installed 3" coils:

Once I get Bronco II or S10 leafs I'll buld a pack and be done as far as lift goes. At least i'm not rubbing with my 13 year old in the back seat! I would like to eventually get to 30's and black steel rims. These are 225x75r/15's.
