My company truck that I am desperately trying to keep alive is on its last leg and I need advice.
The shop has told me that the #4 cylinder needs new wire and plugs and that the coil pack needs replacing. It had all wires replaced almost exactly a year ago and I have had problems in the #4 cylinder before(same thing, blown plugs) First of all, how had is it to replace the above items including the coil pack? I am not a skilled mechanic AT ALL!!
Second, based on it being a constant trouble cylinder, what would be the root problem to cause it to blow wires and plugs?
The shop is quoting me at $26 for the wire and $26 for the plug and $225 for the coil pack installed. Can I do it cheaper?
