Was I understanding correctly that these are going to be somewhere in the ballpark of $200-250?

Lift off, removable windows, optional windows.

I dont think so. I brought up my own idea of wanting to make or have a company make full 2 piece doors like on the CJ/TJs for the XJ. I had mentioned making some up myslef.

That may have been an accidental partial Hijack......My bad!!!! sorry

Believe he was asking me.

And yes, the JK doors can be had around $218-$244 after a quick price check on the web.

The XJ doors are nearly the same, minus some small differences, and 1.75" longer. I prototyped one today, they still need fine tuning, and I haven't yet touched the rears, they'll be tricky.

I noticed that you said that you will have a set displayed at the truckfest in Ontario.I work with 4wheel Parts in Atlanta and I am planning on having my XJ displayed in the rubicon express booth at our truckfest in Atlanta.I would love to have a set for my xj, maybe we can wok out a deal to show them off for all the people on the east coast. If interested let me know,Bud (770-840-0365) that is our store phone #.

I'm not the guy to talk to about that. There is no info released saying that we will do Cherokee tube doors at work, this is just me spilling some info over for my buddies on NAXJA.

If we have something ready for Truckfest Ontario, the set on display will be on the JK, and the Cherokee set will probably in form of a printed press release in my hands.

We will get some east coast coverage when I go to one of the shows down in Ohio in July.

Keep us posted. I'm sure you will find allot of interest.

just for reference. the tjs look like that

Update: I finished the preliminary Jigwork and paperwork to make the XJ front door ready to build. For now they will offer no mirror solution, but we still have the intention of working a tube door mirror kit of some sort. It is going to be separate because we really wanted to do one that we could offer as 1 application to fit all the various vehicles we make the doors for. (IE XJ, YJ, TJ, JK)

Anyways, I'm out to do some vacationing, then I have a show, so the rears will have to wait, but hopefully we'll have them in production before the end of the month. Front door is part # 90783 and rears should be accordingly #90784

I really like the idea but why not just fill in a small part of the door opening near the hinge at the top with some heavy guage as a panel to attach mirrors to. But dont drill them or make a kit for them, let the consumer drill and mount mirrors of their choice. This would keep down on the cost of making them 50 state legal (off road only untill consumer modifys them) and cost of making kits. Just my .01

PS clean out your rig....... I see your sleeping bag LOL

I totally agree with the idea of including a top half door!! I would love to take my doors off but I'd also like to close out the bad weather when i need to. Oh and again, make one for a 2 door please!

I just got back into town from vacation and I leave again tomorrow for Truckfest.

The prototyping for the front pair is done, they're ready for production. All they need to do now really is to take some orders on them and build a batch

No rears have been started yet.

Boy I really hope thats a joke.

Can I offer you part ownership in the Brooklyn Bridge? :rtm:

Wheelin'-- interesting hobby you got there. I used to run those rallies in a Saab on the east coast in the late '70's. Got to use the services of sweep crews on several occasions!
