In the process of replacing the headlight switch i noticed they jumped the black/brown and solid green wire together just before the headlight switch. Why? I replaced the switch harness and now it won't turn over. I have been staring at my wiring diagrams for hours trying to understand it. Any help appreciated.

Both pictures because they didn't turn out together. Black/tan to solid green jumper.
Follow up, I fixed the problem where I was back feeding everything into the overhead light headlights, brake lights and everything else. So the headlight switched fix that problem. I got it from an auction, the screw that keeps the headlight switch in place was gone and it just fell in when I went to go turn the headlights off the second time I drove it.
