PLAN B: Frank Raines on Sat APR 16

Well just got home a few minutes ago. A great time was had by all. I want to thank everyone for coming out today. It was good to finally meet a few of the new members and all our guests as well.

An extra special thanks goes out to Boatwrench, and Rightseatsis for getting the BBQ started and for finding the perfect spot for our lunch. The food turned out great too.

I also would like to thank all who brought food, beverages, and supplies. We wound up with way more food and drinks than we needed, but it is better to have extra and not need it that not having enough. Next time we will have to plan the food a little better for the amount of people we have.

Never got a full head count, but I think we had a total of 13 rigs. Mostly XJs, but we had 2 Rubicon TJs and 2 toyotas join our run.

Good to meet all of you and thanks again for coming out. If interest is high enough, maybe we can do an annual trip to Frank Raines. Seems like the park is centrally located enough for most people in the Sierra Chapter to attend.

I'll upload my pics tomorrow and post them up for all to see then.

Thank you Bryan for organizing this get together. We could not have asked for a better day weather-wise and all participants seemed to have a good time.

Thanks again

Mary

Thank you Bryan for a great day out. It was nice to put some names with faces. Believe it or not my quiet, pre-adult man child had a great time as well and can't for the next outing.

And Chuck... can't wait to have "man time" with you again... although, next time I want to be in front...

Why so he can stuck in the mud with me and SBS again. He knew the whole time my rig was taking on water it still cracks me up. lol.Tell him thanks. well tell him I will go get stuck with him anytime he wants to. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Chuck you better back off my man.
Bryan Great run today
Muck how did you break a 60 axle.
Capt.Nemo great to run what little we did. See ya around.
Jes thanks for laughing at my dumb ass while helping my winch out of the mud hole.
Skipper thanks for letting me steal your son and drive into the mud hole. and for laughing at me with Jes.
It seems that if I find mud I just go drive into it. Man I better stop doing that or I am going to blow another XJ up. Well it was great meet all of the rest of you that where there. The BBQ was great and thanks to all that helped prepare it and cook it. Lets go WHEELIN.

Just got back. Left SBS and his minnions at about 9 and headed West over Mt. Hamilton. Ended up taking about 3 hours to get home, that is one curvy road!
Great day, had a lot of fun breaking my junk. I'll get some pics up later.

Nice run today. Thanks to Bryan C for organizing the run and Matt for letting me ride along. I have posted some pictures and videos at http://www.ham-radio.com/kr7o/jeep/frank raines 041605/Frank_Raines_041605.html

I have a couple more video clips if I can figure out how to rotate them 90 degrees so they are easier to watch. Don't have many more pictures as I was up front and only a few people tried the harder rocks (plus I filled up my memory stick). If any of you want your plates blacked out let me know and I will photoshop them (not sure what is standard practice).

We had a great time! I'm ready for the next run!

Great pics! :greensmok

It is a bulky old camera but takes great pictures. The video clips aren't as great, but usable for not being a video camera. If you want full size pictures let me know and I can send them, they are about 800k each unzipped.

Thanks to all for another Sierra Chapter adventure! Frank Raines is definitely a great place for all of us to Wheel and to Meet each other. Thanks goes out to Bryan for planning the event. Boatwrench & Mary, thank you for cooking and finding a perfect place for our BBQ. My kids truely enjoyed the open space after being strapped in thier seats for so long.

Great to meet everyone.

Need password to see them?

It was great seeing old friends & meeting new ones. Spent the day today lifting the rear of my Deere back up a couple inches, changing out a cut tire, & fixing a power steering leak. The fun never ends & I hope it never will.I look forward to seeing y'all again.
