hey all,

just moved into the north west and wanted to know if there were any good places around my new place to wheel and have a good time. trempealeau county isnt very hilly, but i havent seen many hills since i left oregon:laugh:

just looking for a place close to home to go and have some fun with the family and maybe some chapter members.

I'm from the La Crosse area, there isn't a whole lot of public spots in WI to begin with. Theres even fewer (if any) on our side of the state. The pipeline is about a 4hr drive east, Northwoods Overland (private park you pay to get in) is in Rib Lake. Some random spots down south I don't know much about.
Then there are the fire roads in the State/National Forests up north.

Other than that, its pretty much all private land that you gotta know the owners and ask em...

If you find a place, thats legal, let me know, I'd be down for some running...

I hunt near Arcadia and I'm not sure what your definition of hilly is but that's hilly enough I wish one leg was a foot longer for going across side slopes. Being from Oregon, yes they are probably small to you.

Wish I could help you though, Only tractor paths and 4 wheeler trails on the hunting land.

thats funny because i work in arcadia at the ashley plant. really not that much here huh. that sucks. i would even be up for some old fire roads or something. in oregon we had blm land that we could go play on and no one would care because it is all just old logging sites.

im back to just a stock rig for now, but plan on getting it set up much like my old rig soon. i would be up for some fun if you guys are. haha

yeah man, Wisconsin has been lacking for a LONG time. Out west it is just open land with trails all over. Here everything is a drive, gets shut down, or just isn't open to anything other then ATV's and snowmobiles.

Just a heads up, no matter how long the drive from where you are at, do everything possible to make it to the Midwest Chapters Winterfest in March. You seriously will have a great time stock to not. Great group of guys. Fun wheeling and around the bonfire.

Yeh my friend works there at Ashley, 2nd shift, runs one of the lines.

Well if you ever wanna make a run up to Northwoods or the Pipeline, let me know.

not sure where winterfest is held, but sounds like a good time. hopefully i would be able to make it.

and where is the northwoods and the pipeline? might be interested in going before the weather gets cold. dont know what to expect, this will be my first winter in the midwest. the coldest i have seen is in the teens.
