Rules for transporting across state line to the best of my knowledge...
Weapons locked, in trunk/rear of vehicle, seperate from ammo.

I'll bring my .50cal.

What kind of .50?

And I will be bringing my Smith&Wesson Sigma .40, My Mossberg 702 Plinkster .22 and my dad's Mossberg 500 12 ga. pump with about 600 rds. of .22 ammo, 100 12 ga. shot shells and 50 rds of .40 range ammo.

And if you are stopped.. when the officer asks.. tell the truth that you have firearms in the vehicle.

They also have to be in a case.

If a non-resident is coming to Illinois to hunt and would like to bring their firearm, how do they legally transport it?Non- residents must be legally eligible to possess or acquire firearms and ammunition in their state of residence. It is recommended that, in order to be in compliance with all statutes, non-residents transport all firearms:
  1. Unloaded, and
  2. Enclosed in a case, and
  3. Not immediately accessible or broken down in a nonfunctioning state.
I have plenty of ammo for all the weapons I am bringing, I bought enough to allow anyone to shoot what they want.
