So I finally settled my vehicle dilema. I picked up a 95 cherokee country with 167k miles. It has leather, wood grain, and power everything. Even the cruise control works. :) the best part is it was basically immaculate when I got it. Towed two carshome today with no issues.

Didn't the airbag start in '96? That looks more like the interior of the 96 I had.

What's the date of MFG on the door sill?

Let me know when you want to sell it.

I'm 99.9% sure that is a 96 which happens to be my favorite year of the XJ and the "Country" option w/leather is a sweet package. Nice score!

drivers airbag was in 95, ive got a early 95 (build date 9/94) with the airbag and have yet to see a 95 without one

Yeah thats why im keeping it. Its by far the nicest xj i have owned. The interior isreally nice which me and the wife really like.

Week? Two? Or a month? Any takers? Pool is open!

No I was honestly always in love with landrovers, but I just could never deal with the problems they have. I liked them because they had luxury features and were able to go offroad. When I saw this jeep I immediately knew it was the one. I have never seen a $1800 cherokee with an interior this nice. So now I have my mix of luxury and offroad ability on something Iknow is cheap and easier to fix than the landrover. It also handles towing these cars quite well.

There is a buy across the street from my office that used an 88 xj for towing with a dolly for years. Never had a problem and he had the pukegoat tranny in it.

Yeah and I am really only towing cars from 20 minutes away or less. I generally buy everything I sell here in Nashville so its not like I'll be going through the rockies.

Where did you get that dolly?

Its works good, but man its loud when empty.

You ain't kiddin! I've got one just like it. It's not too bad behind a truck but since all the hitch noise vibrates thru the uni-body and into the cab of our Cherokee's it's LOUD as hell! Sounds like it's ripping the hitch off! It's kinda funny to watch it in the mirror going down the road. Hit a decent sized pot hole and I've seen mine jump 2 feet off the ground.

I bought mine new for $595 about 5 years ago. I've certainly got my money worth! I've had a 2wd F-150 on mine for a short distance. Surprisingly, the only thing I've pulled that seemed to overload it was a 4wd Ford Ranger with a 4.0.

I think I'd like to find a nice VW for milage for the wife's 100 miles round trip to work.

What's one like that go for?
