couldn't even get into the parking lot so i jsut went over to letterman's and drank his beer. :)

Sweet......I wish I had beer while I was AT PnP. I hate that place and the rabble that it attracts. Did score a 95 hatch for Jes, Caddy disks and air pump for a buddy, and a hood for my Ford.

Is the rear hatch from Geoff in Campbell for you? If so, it's real nice. Geoff said that was for Jes. What pnps did you go to Crash, just the Rocklin one? The Stockton location has about a dozen xjs as does the Rancho Cordova 1 off of Sunrise.

Neither I nor Jes has ever heard from, nor do we know, Geoff.

Rocklin. They had one 95, but it did have a virgin double-diaghram booster (which was there when I left), and a nice rear overhead speaker console, (which came home with me).

Did I mention that I hate PnP? I only go when it's absolutely necessary, so I would NEVER make a trip to one that wasn't VERY convenient. Stockton may have a ton of XJ's, but I'm betting the customers there are prone to felonious behavior during daylight hours.

Sounds good, glad you found some stuff. Yeah, I like to keep to myself when going there. People try to use your tools and/or steal them from you. You see all kinds of shady characters there as well as kids trying to snag a 44, 9" etc. for their Jeeps or to resell on Pirate.

Geoff was the guy posting on here in the Sierra Chapter parting out his 88' limited. I got what I could from him and was inquiring about the rear hatch and he said it was for Jes. Oh well, it was nice and I would have made room for it if he was giving it away. Those fiberglass hatches don't last to long when hit with rocks offroad. I'm kind of envious of the 97'+ steel ones. :)

I love PnP :laugh3:

just put on your crappy clothes and carry a 3 foot "cheater pipe" :D

[hijack PnP story]A few years ago I went to PnP the day before a 1/2 price day to scope it out and found a '77 HP D44. So I pulled it out and took it to the other side of the yard and slid it under some sedan to hide it. Came back the next day and got it for under $100 complete. Sold it a week later for $550 :D [/end hijack]

Nice pickup there Brett. Yeah the cheater pipe helps. Mine got stolen quick when I walked 60 yrs to get a wheel barrel and some of my tools were gone. You can find a treasure or junk at pnp, you never know what you are going to get. It's kind of nice if you go early enough in the day, then you can hit all 3 in the Sacto area for $2 and your hand stamp. :)

That's a long time to be walking. Even Moses found his way out of the desert after 40 years. I do not want to follow you to camp in the promised land.

I meant 60 yards, that's funny stuff guys. :laugh3:

well I scored an ax-15, there were just no good donor rigs for an aw4 swap so I went for the same route and looks like I picked a winner :)

i do prefer a manual, but you're gonna want some serious gearing for rockcrawling. start shopping now for a 4:1 for you t-case to go along with deep diff gears.

so, any good PnP finds?

Just some good looking Mazda seats that are way too f'n wide and an alternator off a '95 that wont work in my 90.

Sooo.... I will stuff the seats in but i am sure it will take me far more time than I ever wanted to spend.

As for the alternator, it looks cherry... I had a brain fart and forgot that the alt in my non-H.O. doesnt interchange with the H.O. ones. Oh well, I guess that is why I paid for the stupid exchange policy. But since I am such a nice guy, here is the deal I am offering:

For $5.00 (just to cover my core charge from PnP) you can have this alternator that really looks almost new. I will then just go exchange the alt in MY jeep for another non-H.O. alt. at PnP. Since I am now exchanging what was to be my core... that why I just need the $5.00. Any takers? its a great lookin alternator, I hate to toss it back to PnP.

And Crash... was it just me, or did the engine off that white '95 look prime. I pondered that dual diaphram booster as well... but i think my wife would have thumped me....

That engine looked virgin.....if I didn't just build a stroker, I would have pimped that mill fo' shizzy.
