Performance air filters

Just an idle question, but what size cone style filter should I look at getting if I upgrade? Do I look for a particular CFM rating, just go for the vehicle-specific model, generic or what? There are so many on the market that I can't be the only one bewildered by the choice.

Get the biggest one that you can fit in the available space. The S&B 7" Powerstack from http://www.intenseperformance.com flows more air than your engine could possibly need even when it gets dirty and it doesn't take up too much space.

Just get the cone from K&N since there the best especially if u get it wet! They also make a straight insert to ur stock setup (i have that). They now make this short tube that replaces the stock box for the 2 vaccum lines that supports & comes w/the K&N conefilter that im gonna get so i can squeeze in a second battery there. They sell em cheap on ebay, i'll try & get the link.

Ahttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7956439840&fromMakeTrack=truenother style where the whole tube is chromed & the filter points down...

You know, you could've gone back and edited you original post rather than making 5 extraneous posts. You probably still can. Just go back add the links into the original and delete the extras.

EDIT: Otherwise, nice research.
