Hey All,
I'm new to posting on here, but will be starting my MJ build thread as soon as I can get this big red unibody out of my way.
I'm parting out my 2000 4.7 limited red WJ. The jeep was never wrecked, but the front fenders have some dings on them. Make me offers!
I plan to use some of the parts for my MJ project, but the majority need to go. I bought the jeep off the original owner back in 2004 and the odometer reads 212k. The jeep was in great shape minus it needing its second transmission and t-case chain, as well as some rocker rust (not structural).
I initially planned on using the wiring harness, engine, trans, t-case and axles for the swap, but am leaning towards pulling more parts off of my donor XJ... So I was very careful removing them and didn't break anything.
My current plan is just to use my front seats, axles and t-case.. that being said, the rest is for sale. (before you give me sh*t about using the axles, the truck is going to be a light trail rig and daily driver)
The engine runs great with no problems at all. The trans wants to go into limp mode after it gets up to temp. I replaced it about 40k ago with one out of the scrap yard that was marked to only have 30k on it. That mileage could be true and could be a torque converter issue, because until it gets thrown into limp mode, it works perfectly.
The unibody is 100% stripped, the wiring harnesses are completely removed and in perfect condition, and with the exception of the front seats which I'm using, the rest of the interior is for sale. The AC has the new style blend doors for dual climate control and holds a charge. The body itself would be a perfect foundation for a TREC rig or trail rig, or donor for parts to repair a wrecked WJ.
I also have a bumper and grill from a 2004 limited that I had planned to put on my jeep at one point - also for sale.
If you have any questions, please shoot me a PM and I'll get you an answer. I'm in Columbus Indiana and will ship what I can or meet you half way depending on location.
Here's a link to some photos.. can take more upon request:
