ehhhh. I gotta send in my BMJA membership stuff don't I? damnit. Mitch, my rear is done minus the traction bar, I think I will try to make it this weekend.

My brothers pathfinder passed inspection, but problems keep going wrong with it, he says he will make it next weekend, not sure how though. he actually lost steering at 70mph and hit a guard rail.....WITH MY MOM IN THE PASS. SEAT!. I'm surprised she didn't rip his head off. The jam nuts somehow loosened up (maybe he didn't even tighten them...:)) and the draglink completely unthreaded off the TRE's. _nicko_
 
hey they were tight....maybe just not tight enough. soon as i get my brakes rebled i'll be set to go...hitting the gaurdrail pushed somehtign to hit something?? and cut a brakeline. so i should be able to go up saturday?? if we can run outside of the bmja group..nick?? mitch??
 
WOW,hitting the guard rail at 70 and recovering,maybe you should try NASCAR.Yeah,I would guess the three of us can go without BMJA.I will call Paragon tomorrow and check it out.
 
yeah umm...the brakes dont work now?? so yeah i wont be able to make it..i dont know what is wrong. i've bled them over and over but they are still way to soft. if i can get it figured out and fixed in time and get at leats a few days of driving normal i will go but if not i dont think i'll make it. they worked fine before...dammit

NASCAR...they got nothing on me. steering? what do they need that for? brakes? overrated i say.
 
I called Paragon this morning.They said as long as we have three we can go on our own.If not we can just go with BMJA,as long as we have Jeeps!!!I dont think they allow Pathfinders,LOL.Is Nick good to go?
 
Yeah, I'll be good, I'll just lay a few extra welds on friday and I should be golden for Saturday. Anyone else that wants to run blacks on saturday that's not in BMJA? How about you juice? What do you plan on running with your brother? _nicko_
 
Nicko,maybe we can do Sluice if it's not flooded?I would like to check out Pebbles and see what we are in for during NacFest.
 
I'll definitely hit sluice if it's dry. I want to stay in my jeep as much as possible though...too cold....pansy here, so maybe not. Have you ran it yet? I'd like to see how your tall rig handles it, it's a very tipsy trail.

Yeah, Pebbles is pretty much all greens to get to, then along side the green trails runs this long rock garden with trees in the middle, it's pretty crazy.

BTW, did you sell your 33 TSL's? I'm debating on looking into getting a used set until I get some new axles.
 
I've done Sluice three times.The last time we couldn't do the last hole because it was flooded.I had to winch out of the last hole the two other times.I'm due to get out clean.I sold my 33's.Can you fit 35's?Maybe try and look for some 35 Krawlers like One Ton said.
 
I'm just looking for something cheap in the 33-35 flavor, until I can get a new front axle and jump to 36 or 37's of some sort, probably irok's. I will just hack more to fit whatever tire I acquire. I'd rather have fun with smaller tires, rather than pushing it on the 30 and break more often. We'll see what happens with time and money this summer.
 
whatever you guys want to run is fine with me. I don't care. I'm going up on Sat. but we can get a 3-4 jeeps/nissans that would be cool.

I'll tell you what...if it's as cold as the weather says it's going to get I'm going to pass on this trip.I'll wait until Thursday and check the weather again.Single digit temps are way too cold for me.
 
Sat is supposed to be 16-23* and sunny, which seems good enough for me to go. There will definitely be snow on the ground though, not sure how much though. So as of now, I'm game to go.
