ok so on my dodge truck my clear coat is pealing off badly. I was wondering if i could wet sand it with some really fine paper and shoot clear coat over it again. or is it better to just have it painted.:dunno:

You could but it'd probably be a PITA to sand it all off. I know when I did that at a body shop I used to work at I used 1500 grit and then cleared over it...but that was just because it had been painted the week before and our wetsanding/buffing guy sanded through the clearcoat. If I were you I'd probably just respray the whole thing.

Chrysler clear and paint from the 90's sucks. I'd get it resprayed.
