Picked this up a few months ago...
'92 Laredo 2dr, one owner, well maintained... needed clutch and u-joint...

Then we removed flairs, and added 31's and '70's Dodge 1/2-ton wheels and dogdish hubcaps...

After rubbing the fenders a couple times, we did V8 Upcountry coils and shocks,
S-10 2wd rear main AAL and Comanche rear shocks, and bumpstopped it...

Had a blast, and the Grape performed awesome! Anyone with a stock rig on a limited budget would be nuts not to go this route!!! Already had the tires... the lift cost a total of $110, including the 40 bucks for the wheels... and, yes, the wheels will be painted body color soon... we've already
gotten s&#t for 'em being grey... function first, then make it look good!

The Mopar dog dish's are an ....... interesting...... look. :D

We were getting ready for a run the next day, and the little woman didn't want to screw up the stock alloys, and the wrecking yard in town had only these, so that's what we used... I'm a Mopar guy anyway, so it was only natural... could've used Ford stuff, but I'm not that mean... would really like a set of 15X7 steel Ralley's, but I'm gonna try to find cop-car wheels, from a Dippy or LeBaron...

Haha SICK.

My bro just finished a '74 RR clone...and we're going to All-Chrysler Nat'ls in PA in July.

BTW I love the '70s ramcharger or trailduster you got there...I always wanted one. My mom has an '87 that we stuffed a 440 in.

Gotta love the ol' Ramchargers!!! Buddy and I bought it 6 years ago, with big plans... became his DD, but unfortunately in April of '04 he died... his wife signed it over to me, and I promptly lifted it 6" and threw on a set of 35" Dunlop Mud Rovers and have been wheeling the piss out of it ever since...

Started like this...

Ended up like this...

As well as using it as a recovery vehicle...(notice the TRD has full air pressure in the sand...)

As well as this one-ton Chevy with full air... DOH!!!

nice ramcharger.. ..sad that you cut it up, but looks like it works really well for you.

whats under the hood?

i miss my macho power wagon, rusting away in a field in wyoming until i get a garage..

Has lots of rust in the normal Dodge areas for that vintage... never gonna get rid of it, so cutting it up doesn't bother me...

Has a 360, Edlebrock intake and carb, B&M ratchet shifter, '95 Eclipse front buckets... floor is undercoated, no carpet...

It's a beast...

When you say "cut it up", you're refering to the trimmed fenderwells, right? 'Cause the doorframes come off with the top... '74 only... in '75 the doorframes stay on the doors when the top's removed... and I have the doors pinned for easy removal... mirrors move to the fenders when the doors are off, to stay legal...

oh rad!

didnt even notice the fenderwells were cut.
i thought for sure you had to chop it to remove the door frames like that...

...i love that truck.. ..working on getting some photos of my power wagon to add to this thread.

cheers,

andy

That thing is so sick...we put that factory roll bar in my moms 87 too

Yeah I believe 74-74.5 or something had the removeable door frames?

www.ramchargercentral.com is where I lived when I had my 85 dodge ram. Damn good trucks.

If I had to get another fullsize, I wouldn't hesitate to get another ramcharger.

BTW - your jeep is exact 2-door version of mine! Mines a 4-dr Laredo same color and everything! (Except AW4)

Oh how I miss the NW!!! Nice pic's and video of Sand Lake, I used to race motorcycles out there when I was in high school but haven't been out to the dunes for many years. They still have the Big Bowl and Little Bowl as the biggest dunes to climb?

Sure do, and the ol' Pumpkin goes up 'em all!!! As a matter of fact, so does the XJ!!!:yelclap:

Found this original ad @ Mclellan's auto memorabilia...
