OT: GO SHARKS!!!!

Tonight's opening period will tell which way the series will eventually go. IF NABAKOV CAN STOP ANY OF THE 1st FIVE SHOTS IN ANY GAME and then decides to play the rest of the series it will be the Sharks in 5. IF Nabakov plays with his usually sucken it up mode, and keeps talking to himself while in net then the Sharks will be swinging clubs on the greens before the end of the month.

I've watched a lot of hockey on both coasts and been a season ticket holder since Cow Palace days...I don't think the Sharks can make it with Nabby. I hope I'm proven wrong.

Is the bride singing at any of the games?

What??? Nabby can win it.....

Not yet. They haven't made the call. We are anxiously awaiting though. What's funny is, they have had the fan participation twice (no singer) and we live about 3 miles away.

Go Sharks.

Ducks are not the team I wanted them to open against. Anaheim is a tough team that plays a rough game. If the refs call them fairly, and the Ducks end up having to kill a lot of penalties, the Sharks could capitlaize often.

If the refs let the Ducks goonery slide, it could knock the Sharks off their game, and mess with them mentally. Sharks need to stay focused and not let their goonery under their skin.

Sharks should win the serious, they have more talent, but the Ducks play them well, have been playing well most of the second half of the season, and have two Norris trophy winning D-men... which makes for a big challange.

Sharks in 6... but it will be tough.

If we are talking Goalies, you have a hard time thinking Jonas Hiller will go that far. He has NEVER played even one minute of NHL playoff hockey. I just don't see him winning a playoff round.

Time to build up a tolerance to that nasty Anaheim Whine.

Lets Go Sharks!

See you at the game!

Thanks Nabokov. :flamemad:

Every time I hear the sheeple chant 'Nabby" I just want to :puke: Jose Theodore could do better.

The two he let in were from more than 30ft out, unscreened, and not that hard. Most of the Sharks shots were from just as far and Hiller stopped them. What was with Patrick skating at the top of the circles and not engaging down low? I expect that from Joe, but not Patty. Seems like Boyle and Moen were the only two trying all evening...and Murray knocking down Selane.

Having a President's Trophy ceremony may have helped. Demonstrating to the team closure on the regular season, moving onto the next chapter in the quest, and the Sharks are the same as the other 15 teams in the 2nd season.

Long wait until Sunday.

I would rather have had Anna Marie singing then the guy playing the sax.

I don't know... that first one... the tic-tac-toe passing of the Ducks was pretty sharp, and Perry was putting a pretty good screen on Nabby. THe Shark penalty killers were not clogging the passing lanes one bit..

On the second goal, Nabby probably wasn't expecting his own D-man to pass to the Ducks best scorer wide open in the neutral zone. But, yes, it was a savable shot.

I find it hard to blame Nabby too much... 2 posts by the Sharks, and a stellar game by Hiller. Sunday will be different.

And that one time shot was a nasty one, I think it would have beat most goalies.

Hiller was on fire, it really sucks to get shout out in our own building.

On to game two!
