Yeah haw. Finally made the leap. Called Dirk at DPGoffroad.com and man that guy is way crazy on how dirtly low he will go with pricing. But the biggest reason I like him is he seems VERY honest, wouldn't let me order the wrong stuff. Here is what is on the way!

Rubicon Express 6030 3.5" Superflex lift kit
Upgrade to JKS discos
SYE and CV shaft
Disco cable holders (he makes these, they look great)
OME shocks
and some 4 degree shims.

Bought a RE 1600 track bar from a guy local as he had a spare for cheap.

I am thinking very hard about keeping the JEEP alloy 5 star rims with a 1.25 spacer in the front. Then mounting up 31"x10.5 GY MTR's. Does anybody have a similar hieght lift with those stock rims? If I go spacer, will it look OK to do just the front?

Where on the web is the best tech article about installing all these great little goodies?

Thanks guys, I am pumped

Sounds awesome dude. that lift will give you a pretty good size from the get go. I think jeepin.com has an article on installing a 5.5" RE XD lift, prolly around the same thing..

First off, check RE's website for instructions. They give reasonably detailed instructions. Do a search on NAXJA type: RE 6130 or something like that and look at the appropriate posts that come up. Yucca-Man has a good write-up as well: http://www.yuccaman.com/jeep/45lift.html. And buy two, I repeat, TWO, cans of PB Blaster and start soaking every bolt you can think of... control arms, rear shackle bolts, esp. rear upper shock bolts. I think the liberal spraying of my shock bolts for weeks prior to removal prevented them from breaking. I would also suggest JKS Bar Pin Eliminators as an addition to your shocks. Good luck.

Which jks bar pin eliminators did you get. I need a set but here's a copy and paste from the jks web page - check out the "note".

The "Bar Pin Eliminators™" change the shock length by only .40 inches.

Note: Will Not Fit "OLD MAN EMU" Shocks!

The JKS BPE's will work with OME shocks.

Why not just use the rear swaybar brackets?

Thanks George, I appreciate it! It was good chatting jeeps on the phone, mabye we can see each other on the trial someday. From the sounds of your jeep, it would be nice to have you around to pull my butt out!

Thanks again, can't wait to get it.

Because if you use the stock mounting holes, they will turn the shock 90* the wrong direction which will severly bind the shock bushing, unless you mount the bracket 90*, which will require new mounting holes.

How much did you pay for all of that? I'm ready to do the same thing

Go to http://dpgoffroad.com

I also like DC, his prices are the best, but it can be hard not to buy from Dirk.

I just did my lift not to long ago...still have a long way to go though however! I would definatly recommend anybody to 4 Wheel Parts...they matched on all my parts and since I live in an apartment complex I couldnt do my own install. They did a really sweet job. The install was very clean and they even brought me into the shop to check out the install halfway through. If anybody is buying parts....definatly give them a look! :patriot:
