OOPS picture thread.

LOL yea i bet, thats why i dont miss the mud. i didnt even take the calipers or wheel off. didnt bother putting in a shaft since i was 10 minutes from home, just left the broken stub in to hold the unit bearing together.

Here is one of my "OOPS" from a few years ago.

I love the contrast of the completely destroyed transfer case and the seemingly unscathed stock trans crossmember... that takes skill.

My balljoint incident at nacfest:

It is worth noting that the balljoints didn't actually break, and I caught the busted ujoint (cap popped out) before it actually broke all the way. When I went to swap the shaft out, I noted that my lower balljoint slid out of the inner C. Was going to just slide it back in so I could get off the trail and fix it at camp, but half of NAC told me I was an idiot for that... I had brand new balljoints and a press with me so in they went.

The ujoint on the other hand was a shitshow, mostly because I didn't have a spare for that side.

two sets of brand new balljoints behind the drivers seat, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. :moon:

gotta get every last mile out of them. Seriously though, if I'd remembered that damn balljoint was that bad I would have replaced it before leaving, same goes for that ujoint. I bought that set of shafts with those ujoints in them from a guy who apparently had no clue how to install a ujoint, the other side spit 3 caps and nearly separated my balljoints at 50mph near the backyard... I can't believe I made it from mass to rausch creek with that one in there without spitting caps and dying on the highway. Scares me every time I think about it.
