Oklahoma? Aw geez, do we have to? As for the name. I think Texas Chapter says it all. If those okies and coon asses don't like it, let them go play with them yankees up in Chicago.

SPOKEN LIKE A TRUE TEXAN...PROUD AND UP FRONT......NOT P C AT ALL.

Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma ........ seems a lot closer to Arkansas than the things that go on in Chicago with the MidWest chapter and I know I've seen some of you guys at Hot Springs, soooooooo is Arkansas possibly going to be included in this new chapter - if so I'd like to switch chapters, MidWest won't miss me as I've never even posted there - seems to be another world being so far away. If Arkansas is included I'll be sure to pass the word at Superlift ORV park in Hot Springs. BTW I live in Little Rock, my XJ is '96 with 4.0, AW4, 242tc, about 3.5" lift, 31s, still open with 355:1 gears.

You can be a member of any chapter you want.

Yup. Though we can't use your membership as one of our 15 "required" members for charter, once we've established you're welcome to the party. :)

since we are starting to get so much interest from tx, la, ar, and ok, maybe we should consider making this the mid south chapter. of course, we can put a clause in the by laws that will let any state with x number of members and a majority vote succede(sp) in order to form their own chapter.

Didn't we try that during the Civil War?:jester:

Mid South or South Central would probably be allright.

I think we should cool it on adding states at this point lest the national guys start to think we are working on a coup to take over the national chapter. But I would not appose it.

I agree, there is no reason the south Arkansas guys should be excluded, or even someone in New Mexico that lives near the Texas border.

The issue we should discuss right now is if they can vote and hold office?

My suggestion is that if they live close enough to this area, and select this as their chapter, that they should be allowed full local chapter previlages as long as they are national XJ paid members and officially select this as their chapter.

Since Texas is the central state to this effort, I would think that we want officers that live in Texas or close enough to The Texas boarder to make travel to Texas and boarder state areas a non issue. For instance I think I would oppose election of a chapter president that lived all the way in New Orleans, Brownsville or El Paso. It is just too far away, unless it was someone with nothing better to do, who owned five jeeps in every state, and flew his jeeps around in his own private cargo party1: jets.

Arkansas should be in this chapter as well. At least then we might get some wheeling here. The MWC is cool and all but... Arkansas has some of the roughest terrain in the country and no one wheels here. It doesn't end at Hot Springs either.

You should call the chapter the Mid-South Chapter.

If you don't include AR/OK where will you guys wheel? New Orleans? :D

Sorry if I didn't read the entire thread. I'll try to stay on top of this one.

Didn't notice you were from Arkansas. MWC may not be willing to give you guys up. They may want to come down from Chicago to wheel in the Ozarks with you guys.
NAXJA may draw the line at letting us aquire another state. It has been pointed out they may think we are trying to take over, but we know its way too much work. We don't want to have to work THAT hard.

Honestly, if they were going to wheel the Ozarks...they would've done it by now. Hot Springs (orvpark on here) has extended his hospitality on here before to no real avail.

Hi guys, I have been lurking here and the other threads...
Good job so far!
Keep up the good work.
As far as OK members, Okie Terry was the only Okie that associated with the MWC, honestly, he and Val were the only reason we incorporated OK into the MWC.
They had attended some events and were already 'one of us'.

As far as a list on members from OK, two choices:
1) Check the members roster, there is a list of member and state resided in. I think you could even cut and paste the whole thing into an Excel doc. and manipulate it as needed.
2)Get a hold of Glenn Fulmer(Ghost) he is current membership guy, he may help you also.

Don't worry so much about each and everyones address and such, IMHO, you are complicating things, making it to difficult.
Remember, K.I.S.S.!

I know this thread hasn't been posted to in a few weeks, but a chapter closer to home would help me change my screen name to red. Can we leave the OU fans in the MWC, I know there are alot of them, but I don't like them. Maybe we could trade them for some illegals, there english would be better. Seriously this could be cool with some things that don't seem to all take place around the great lakes.

Put down the cash then, cuz as of 3 days ago, the Red River chapter is official, and includes Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. :)

Kendrik Since you are on line right now, how can I pay I don't have a paypal account. Can I send a money order or something. I could open a paypal account, but don't want to if I don't have to.

Rattman,
Glad to have you on board. Another red screen name is always welcome. Also glad you found that mailing address because I, for one, forgot it was there to tell you where to look.
