Ok, enough is enough - our search feature needs work......

This is getting quite old. Our search feature is out dated and useless in comparison to several other forums I belong to. Oddly enough, this is only on 4x4 related sites - in my experience. Seriously, this needs to be addressed.

I can't search for 3 letter words, not even in conjunction:

tow rig

ARB

JKS

OME

BPE

D30

D44

Etc, etc, etc........

I can understand the search feature not wanting to search for "and, the, who" and those kinds of words but come on. Really? It's not possible to search these?

PLEASE ADDRESS THIS.

Agreed, We should do that Google Search deal.

This is generally configured because searching for a term with less than 4 characters loads the database server down disproportionately, and indexing them requires a lot more space in the database. It can be changed in the config though:

Google search tends to work way better than vBulletin's built-in one anyways.

I understand the frustration... but I get along fine just searching for the same terms with "inurl:naxja.org" thrown into the mix on Google.
