Oil sending unit / switch

OK, I only have a Haynes and the internet. I just completed the gauge cluster swap from idiot lights.

I have the new sending units to replace. However, I only have the 2.5L engine. All the pics and how to's are for the 4.0L

I know the sending unit should be near the oil filter on the 4.0 where the H...E double L is it on the 2.5L?

Honest I just can't find it

having just done that swap recently i know what you mean, that sucker is hard to find.
its right next to the distributor. its also A PITA to change, i ended up laying ontop of the engine turning it with a pair of channel locks

Thanks guy!!! Laying on top of enging did it! Was able to find it by looking straight down.

Now I have gauges and tach instead of idiot lights and huge fuel gauge :yelclap:

The speedo reads twice as many miles than are actually on it but Oh Well :shhh:

you can keep the original speedo,only thing is that they probably don't match

i did swap the matching one on eventually but that involves "resetting" the speedometer
