Hello everyone,
I realize the short notice but we've had a few people drop out and we'd like a full class. Please e-mail me if you are interested. [email protected]
The class was going to be postponed but is now on for November!
Del Albright is putting another leadership on this November. It is scheduled for Veteran's Weekend, 11/10-12. Yes, it's a three day class. It starts Friday morning at 8am and goes through Sunday early afternoon. The class will be held at Robb's just off Ice House Road.
This is the class that got me off to a running start in helping the Rubicon Trail. Del, and a host of guest speakers/instructors, (including myself) will cover leadership, communication, planning, public speaking, running meetings, supervision, etc. I could not begin to tell you how much I got out of this class. It gave me the knowledge and skills needed to make a difference. It also gave me the confidence in myself to take the next step of taking the initiative and making things happen. The things you will learn from this class will help you far beyond the Rubicon Trail.
This is a serious class. You need to be willing to commit to the full three days. You will be asked to turn off your cell phones and iPods. Class ends around 4-5pm and then there will be down time for the group to get to know each other, go play or relax. (The bar at Robb's opens at 4pm.) There are only 20 spots available. There will be an application process to be selected.
Most of you are already involved through local 4WD clubs. Please let me know if you or someone you know who might be interested and dedicated enough to be willing to take this class. Time is tight, please call if you have questions.
I'd like to be able to confirm people by tomorrow evening. I'll be watching this thread so post up with questions.
