Official SEC Contest!

Alright Ladies and Gents,

The SEC needs a new logo to be used on stickers and other small swag goodies. This new logo will supplement the existing SEC logo.

The new logo needs to be awesome looking but can't have more than 3 or 4 colors. It needs to be something that can fit on reasonably sized sticker - as the logo we have now is really big. The logo should scale up and down and still be clear.

I'll leave this thread open for a week or two for everyone to discuss, banter and post prototypes of their ideas. After that, I'll open a formal submission thread.

Let the fun begin.

The shirts and hoodies will probably keep the old logo just because it is big and it fills the area up, plus I think it looks good on a shirt. That's not to say the new logo couldn't be put on a shirt at some time though.

Thank God we're open to changing this! I personally cannot stand the current logo. I'm definitely not a fan of the gradiant XJ in it...that makes it difficult to have it done in anything other than print.

The new logo needs to be more streamlined and less busy.

I agree that the XJ is what makes the current logo too busy. Maybe this will be a good project for me to learn Illustrator. I'm assuming you guys would like it in vector?

And they got a Cherokee In it without it looking cluttered.


i don't know how to do all that stuff but I've always liked small round stickers.


I made a logo for each chapter of my old club but they were kinda fuzzy

I only used paint and the kodak program that comes with the camera

a quick few min sketch, since mac is down, so not my best drawing :roll:

i personally think the map was weighting it down.

if there is interest in this i will try to get on my roommates and make it in illustrator.
