[KRAKER]

I hereby motion for vote by the paid members of the AZ chapter that starting next term. Membership for all BOD members (up to 3 BOD members) be paid by out of chapter funds.

Including several stipulations.

1. BOD members to be reimbursed funds at end of their term,

2. Chapter is to maintain a minimum yearly bank balance of no less than 500 dollars.

3. Can only be collected for fulfilling entire election term.

Input, comments, concerns?

I'm on the fence, while I do believe that the BOD doesn't get any recognition, I don't think it has to be monetary recognition out of the chapter funds. I don't have a better idea really, just don't like the idea of giving people money instead of giving it to land use issues. If they pay out $50-100 for the two year term that is $150-300 that could be given to issues that matter or to member functions.

i do agree with you POS and you are right that the money could be used for land use. coming from someone that normally would push every dime toward the land use fight, it seems to me that being on the BOD is a thankless job without much incentive. this is a good way for members to say thanks to the BOD for the work that they do.

I don't know, me personally I don't care if people show appreciation for my effort. I know that more than half the stuff in this chapter wouldn't happen without us. If somebody runs for the money their motives are misplaced IMO. I would rather spend the $150-300 to make a members only run at one of the few off-road parks in the state. I don't care if I get to attend or not but as long as the PAYING members feel the money was well spent, that is all that matters really.

Assuming the two year renewal is reimbursed it would be @ $50 for two years per person. For a grand total of $150 for 3 BOD members for 2 years. Which if I'm not mistaken is much less than some other were willing to spend chapter money on for rental of an offroad park.

Just trying to get a snowball effect going with activity. That's my only goal and motivation. Honestly...

That's why I brought this up. We can put it to vote and if it fails, it fails.

I just think it's well deserved for the leaders and the storm they will go through in office.

Just calling it how I see it. I'm not going to bull you and say it's all biscuits and gravy. It's genuine work that has it's highs and low. Low's mostly. No one takes this gig for it's super kush house on the hill. You take it on because you care for the club and want to see it grow. This job is selfless and will test your patience and cooling systems.
