Roger, how loud is your intake on the white XJ? I'm getting real tired real quick of the spectre cowl intake sounding like some rice burner and hissing and all that. I was thinking about getting a setup like yours so I could still have the space for a second battery and air compressor in the front.

Skid plates and tow hooks/hitch
3 core rad
Hp30/ 29 spline 8.25 swapped in from an auto, so 3.55 gears.

Drove it back from Denver on Saturday, got 20mpg highway

It's noticeable with the windows down but I would not say loud. It does not bother me at all but not sure how loud yours is?

I had similar system on my Xterra and it's about the same I would say.
