Find out what the ratios are between the two. I was looking at swapping my 5speed in my F250 for a 6 speed out of a newer one because I was almost always looking for another gear past my overdrive gear. It turns out that the final drive gear was very close to what I had and the extra gear was on the bottom side as another granny gear.

Reading how to do the trans swap, seems easier than I was expecting. Can leave my current clutch and shifter in place.

Thinking ill do the trans/tcase 1 day and the axles coupled with some more lift another.
