I didn't say I wanted to "win ground" with you.
Just giving you facts about the cars and trucks I have looked at appears to you to be "badmouthing American Car companies".
I never said they were junk. I stated fuel milage figures.
No Toyota does not contract with the UAW, but that does not mean those people are not well paid, and have good benefits. And that's what matters. Employees, on US soil, getting paid to do work so they can raise families and grow their communities.
We now live in a world economy. US companies are all over the world exploiting other nations labor and resources. Do you see those folks complaining? No.
So other companies are coming to the US to build and grow <shrug>. As long as they employ Americans and pay a wage that is comparable to what folks are used to getting paid, and provide good bennys, who are
you to complain?
You should tone it down a bit. Your overzelous attitude of "Buy American or you are a Traitor" will get you exactly nowhere. That BS of calling someone a Traitor if they do not agree with
your point of view will die with the Bush administration.
The truth, which appears very hard for you to swallow, is that not even cars manufactured by Ford, GM or Chrysler are made of parts manufactured here in the US. Ford, GM and Chrysler own or have a large stake in a number of foriegn manufactures, like Mazda, Jag, Mitsubishi. And to boot, many cars sold by Ford, GM and Chrysler are not even assembled in the US.
