I haven't ben able to see for about 5 days. got metal in my eyes on Saturday. by Monday I couldnt read or drive. just this morning as I able to read the comp screene w/o a magnifying glass. payd $65 for some eye scrape, and then took a dremmel to the eye for the leftover rust.

Safety glasses man.

I know dave, that's what they all say. I had them on, stopped working about 3pm. I didn't even know anything hit my eye until about midnight when I went to close my eyes to go to sleep, when , BAM my eyes were on fire. I wasn't using the glasses with the sealed sides all the way around (bugg eye looking ones) but I did have glasses on. its a double edged sword when it comes to glasses. if there sealed all the way around to not let anything in, they fog up during hard labor. and you cant see at all. if you vent them in any way (standard safety glasses, or add vent holes) you add the potential for debris getting in there. and in most places your going to find air tools that push the stuff all over the place. no good when you head HAS to be in a certin spot at a certin time to get the job done.

I have worked in manufacturing of all sorts for 15 years and this is the 1st time iv got something in there that I not only could not get out myself, but that I didn't even know hit my eye at the time.

needless to say I feel very lucky, Stupid, and pissed. all at the same time LOL

Hey sorry to hear that John. I've gotten grinding dust in my eye once before, and I swear that was the worst pain I've ever had. So hope you feel better man.

I wish I could be at the campout with all you guys this weekend :/

Been there done that, cost me and my insurance co 6k to get it all fixed/cleaned out. I keep a strong neodymium magnet on hand now... if I feel anything is amiss, mirror and magnet time, you don't even have to touch your eye with it, the metal will just hop right out onto the magnet usually. Only had to use it once. I recognized the burning feeling from the previous time when I had to go the ER because I didn't realize for 2-3 days and it was infected and rusted by then.

Obviously this will only work if it's metal in your eye not grinding abrasive dust, but still, it is worth a try. A few hours after I yoinked it out of there with the magnet I couldn't even tell it ever happened.

Thanks for that.
Have you bought from them? I'm a little wary, never heard of the company. But if they are legit I may order one a few paychecks from now for my DD...

I just came across them in my travels thought the world wide inerweb.

I'm thinking of getting one to replace the Spartan I removed that I shouldn't have.
