NWC VP elect meet and beat...

So is there still going to be a meet and greet. Some seemed undecided about the date Or has it passed me by. Would like to meet some of you and see what your driving. I am in vancouver and am 38 and no i am not looking for a date. I would like to bring the wife if other are bringing theirs. That way maybe she can see that i am halfway normal anyway. I have stopped into red91s work a couple times to show him my new toy but he is never there. He must be pretty important there. later..

actually I'm a buyer and rolling in the rig most of the time...however....I will be there on the 14th should you want to stop in and say....hey dirtbag ...:D
 
saterday huh ill see if can stop bye. Hopfully i will have my truck back by then . I have only had the new one a month and the shop had had it 3of those 4 weeks. They keep screwing up the clutch. Just took it back to them again today. I bought it for 4500. and since ive put 2500 into ugg. Oh well it should last me awhile when i get to keep it.

I took it to just right auto repair on 131st and fourth plain because they have done good stuff for me before and i can walk there. I had them do clutch,master,slave& rear main seal. Took it back for main seal they said it was back of valvecover. They did not know i replaced that 2 days prior. So I still have a small leak. took it back because it would not go into gear when i get into stop and traffic, they replaced gearbox bushings more time and $$. Took it back cause same problem, they took it apart and said they install pilot berring crooked. They showed me part mushroomed on one side. Got it back again and drove it all aover in town mon night and it ran great, Tues morning went to work in clackamas got of freeway came to first light and gearbox froze again. Took it back when it was warm (right off the free way) and showed owner. Whe found out that when warm you have to wait 10 seconds with the cluch all the way in before it slides nice into gear. He has it now and sais he is doing everythink over himself tonight, maybe ordering all new clutch kit . Sais i will have it back tonight or monday.

just right is a decent shop... he didn't charge you ANYTHING for their errors did he ?
 
No we had a talk in my jeep last nite for about 20 min. This is Dougs nitmare as much as mine. They said they would see me through to the end of this. Its just fustraiting and i still dont know what to think of the oil leek cause i swaer to god i sealed the crap out of the valve cover. But i am giving them the bennifit of the dout, maby the valve cover is worped. I have to have this thing in good shape because it will be and emergency vehicle in april for the pro rally. What about that meet and greet.

trying to figure out that last part....I should have a definitive answer by Monday.
 
Oh forgot to mention the fist week i had this thing. I had some 35 wheels and tires waiting for my new project. So the day i brought the jeep home i took the new swampers off and stored them for wheeling and put the 35s on. It drove like crap but they fit and looked cool. $ days later the left rear passed me on 205 and i had to get it flatbeded home. Got it over to 4 wheels parts in portland and bought 4 procomp severe weather rated tires, went back to 33s becauce of drivability. after they installed tires and 1 new wheel I had them check it out front to back to see what i had. They said everything was great but needed new trackbar. So procomp track bar was installed and now it drives like a honda. I should have bought 35s instead of 33s oh well nice way to spend the first 1100.00 of my month long saga

Sorry I peck about as fast as i can. and no time to edit. I dont have much time around here so just getting the thought out of my head is a task. Usually i am doing 2 things at once. I could use spell check if needed,but i thought this was a jeep forum. I will try to spell better in the future.
