It looks as if Iceland Offroad has either gotten back in business with a new company name...or their flare designs have been bought off by another company and are being produced again. Curious to see how everything goes with them this time, hopefully better then when they were iceland, i wouldnt mind buying a set for my xj.

Hopefully they've done more R&D on those flares and have gotten them to fit better out of the box. All I'd ever heard about those is that the mounting design sucked and the edges never followed the fender/body contours very well at all.

That silver XJ that Rod at TNT has sure looks good with them on it but he still complains that getting them to fit was a huge PITA and the mounting set up was just threaded rod pressed into mounds of bondo on the back of the flares.

know the Iceland ones just had body filler smeared around the studs which is unbelievable, another reason for "Bondo" to get a bad name, if used the right way and what its intended for then there's nothing wrong with using body filler. Hopefully this notch company improves on the way they are mounted.

FYI - Notch Customs has nothing to do with Iceland. It’s a new company and their flairs have gone through lots of R & D, testing in Moab and tweaking over the past few months to get them just right. They were actually at the fall fling in Moab last year, for those of you that were there. They offered to install a set of flairs on the Giveaway XJ but flairs were already taken/spoken for.

We were in their shop today installing a winch control panel in one of their vehicles and they had several XJs and an MJ with flairs installed. The flairs are basically a highline kit. They allow lots of tire with not so much lift. Solidly built, they appear to be a top quality product that will take some abuse.
