Im really Just looking for an approximate value on my XJ right now...a High, a Low, and a fair price....

Ok If were going by KBB value then the XJ's condition is fair to good, Interior is in good shape, no tears, cuts, or burns in seats...Exterior is in good shape a few minor scrapes that could pry be buffed out...but other then that no body damage...Has 65,000 miles on original motor, 4x4, mechanically everythings running strong, brakes and rotors were changed about 9 months ago, battery changed about a year ago, thats about all I can think of right this minute....D30, 8.25, 3.55's

Consider yourself lucky to get (High end of the spectrum) $5500 to 6000, You will never get back what it cost you to modify the vehicle. Also most people don't consider home brew mods to be custom. I spent over 3 grand modifying a suzuki Samurai and couldn't sell it for even close to the $3000 mark. I ended up getting $1500 for it.

well I was open to opinions but Im gonna step out on a limb and say thats pry the low end price...$5750-6000....KBB Private Party in Fair condition says 7,005 and thats stock...I do realize custom or "homebrew" mods dont get you anywhere but even so I think $5000 would be a bit absurd for a 99 with 65,000miles but I guess thats only my own opinion and I very well could be wrong...but from what I'v seen XJ's go for on this site (which were similar to mine)....Id say I could start things out a 7250 with an OBO next to It and see what happens from there...I saw a 97 with 114,000 miles and maybe a few more mods then mine go for 6900 and thats the lowest the guy would go...It started at 8k something....but not to rant and rave, only my opinion on things...not tryin to sell It right now...Just seeing what I could get out of It If I went that route...thanx

You may want to check on ebay.
They seem to peak about $6000 on the max end, and that is really high compared to what we are getting them in PA. There are a lot of people asking more, but most bids get stuck around $4000.
I had a '94 listed and couldn't get 1/2 of what I was originally asking.
It seems to be a wierd auto economy right now, and spring is not a good time to sell SUV when gas is so high.
