Nice ill go that route then if I can source a 8.25 it would be best....so another question I uave it's kind of technical but if anyone knows how the window bolt comes out I'd be appreciative...I tried turning it and what ever is on the bottom side holding it together is spinning too...Can anyone tell me what I have to do to remove it?

Having the last name "houdini" helps, as I recall.

The bolt for the window goes into a metal t-nut in the plastic bit - and the metal bit likes to spin in the plastic bit. I don't remember how I dealt with it, but tools were thrown and words were had. I think I may have grabbed the disc part on the other side with visegrips... holding it on the diameter, not pinching it to the glass, unless you like sweeping up broken window glass.

AWESOME thanks for the tip of grabbing the metal and not pinching the glass I am heading over to the shop shortly to see if I can deal with that stubborn thing..yeah words were had with it yesterday along with a hole in the sheetrock from my 3/8 ratchet after I was totally frustrated trying for 2 hours..

Don't know if you're still deciding on lift or tire size, but I'm running just shy of 4.5" with 255/75/r17s (32") wich are the JK rubi wheels. I bought 1.25" wheel adapters and they fit quite well with little to no trimming. I wish i would have got 1.50" or 1.75" but oh well.

I'm new here in Ct but In Utah I bought 5 wheels and tires with zero miles on them for around 450.

As far as your long arm descusion, I ran short arms for a long while and they do work well, but I made the jump to long arms and I love them. Not really for "flex" but for ride comfort on and off road. Long arms absorb the bumps better and translate into a smooth ride. :D

Here's my rig

Haha, we got our share of salt on the roads back in Utah. I'm from salt lake, I wish I could say that I didn't have any rust.

Ok so this is another tech related question but I had some problems with the roof when I got it. The paint was peeled bad with rust popping through. So I taped it off and totally stripped it cleaned it good and put on Eastwood rubberized rust encapsulator which seems like good stuff for the underside of the jeep but on a roof all it did was crack and look like a vinyl top. My question is I'm gonna have to strip it down again and start fresh I was thinking rustoleum primer and a monstaliner kit has anyone had experience with the monstaliner how good is it? I looked all over the net and it's got great reviews but so did the eastwood stuff I'd like to know from first hand experience... and if it's good cool I'll get it...

I don't want to go through all that trouble. Like I said I want to know how the monstaliner works. I dont need to hear it needs to be repainted I realize it does. But i don't want a smooth finish.
